“Why use our Curb Inlet Guard?”  A curb inlet opening is a hazard that could become a liability.  In the attached letter by J. Michael Ellis, “The planners for every municipality, every school district, every sports field or public facility should take a hard look at the injuries that will be prevented and the lives that will be saved if this type of threat is taken more seriously.” As stated in the attached letter by John Small, “Since the inlet guards have been installed in the parking lots, essentially no trash has come in with the storm water.  The guards have provided a near 100% solution to a problem that once seemed to have no workable or economical answer.”

The Child Safety benefits combined with the environmental benefits and cost effectiveness make the installation of this product that much more vital.  Our Guards help prevent children, trash, sediment, chemicals, pollution, pets, rodents/vermin, and hazardous/dangerous items from entering stormwater curb inlets, saving many thousands of dollars every year in storm drain vacuuming and maintenance costs, while helping keep stormwater ponds and our waterways clean.   In addition, stormdrains could have poisonous gasses inside.

We are currently in use by the US Army for their Net Zero Program at Ft Detrick, by DC DOE at King Elementary School in SE, and with M-NCPPC in parks in both PG and Montgomery Counties, as well as many private commercial real estate and HOA’s around the DC metro area.  Our Guards are also used for sediment control, petro/chemical control, and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL).
